Stepping onto a mobile medical unit for a pregnancy test may feel new or even a little intimidating, but these units are designed to provide accessible, private, and professional care. While the space is more compact than a traditional clinic, the level of medical care and attention remains the same. Trained staff guide you through each step so you can focus on your health.
The Pregnancy Resource Center brings free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, pregnancy options education, STD testing and treatment, and fatherhood coaching directly to Lawton and surrounding areas through our Mobile Medical Unit. You’ll receive the same compassionate care offered at our center, with the added convenience of services closer to where you live or work. This is a safe, confidential space to ask questions, discuss your situation, and receive reliable medical information without judgment.

Professional Care, Close to Home
From the moment you arrive, a registered nurse answers your questions and ensures accurate pregnancy test results. If the test is positive, you may qualify for a limited obstetric ultrasound. An ultrasound can help confirm a heartbeat, determine gestational age, and identify the location.
Confirming a heartbeat with an ultrasound matters because miscarriage, the loss of a pregnancy before 20 weeks, occurs in an estimated 10–20% of clinically recognized pregnancies.
Pregnancy location is also essential to confirm. About 1–2% of pregnancies in the US are ectopic, meaning the embryo implants outside the uterus, usually in a fallopian tube. Ectopic pregnancies can be dangerous and require prompt medical care. An ultrasound helps identify this early and ensures appropriate follow-up.
More Than a Test
A Mobile Medical Unit appointment is about more than just confirming pregnancy. Our team provides education and support to help you understand your pregnancy options, along with STD testing and treatment. Partners planning to parent can receive fatherhood coaching to help them prepare.
If your pregnancy is confirmed, we also provide six months of free prenatal vitamins and guidance on next steps. Bringing these services directly to the community helps remove barriers such as transportation challenges or scheduling difficulties, making it easier to prioritize your health.
